Investments in bank
In order to obtain a temporary residence permit in Latvia the foreign investor should make a financial investment in the credit institution (bank) of the Republic of Latvia in the amount of not less than 280 000 EUR as the subordinated capital of the credit institution.
It is necessary additionally to pay 25 000 EUR to the state budget in order to obtain the residence permit.
This type of investment has a number of features which, on the one hand, allow receiving a higher profit in the form of regular interest payments of up to 5% per annum, and on the other hand - impose restriction on the early termination of the deposit agreement.
The minimum term for such a deposit - 5 years.
